If you want to use your time with 29feet.com in Fernie to learn how to be a fully fledged snowboard instructor it's no problem! You don't have to pay over the odds, you can book direct with CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors) and it is very cheap... The CASI level one course is three days and covers a range of on and off the snow instruction, mostly on the snow with some of the best instructors in the world (we're serious!).Level one will cost you just over $300.00 and will allow you to teach the basics of snowboarding to beginners. The course does not only focus on how you teach someone to sides-slip and do their first turn though, it is actually one of the best snowboard lessons that YOU will ever have. The coaches spend lots of time working on your own personal skills and style and give you loads of practical tips to make sure you are doing everything right. It's great fun and well worth the money. Courses go up in cost as you get higher up the ranks but are all very reasonable.
